# sherpage tools

| Tool | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `sherpage_publish` | Publish a new page from a bundle of files |
| `sherpage_list` | List your pages |
| `sherpage_get` | Get one page's details |
| `sherpage_update` | Update title/slug/expiry/view budget |
| `sherpage_set_access` | Change access level (private/password/allow-list/public) |
| `sherpage_archive` | Archive or restore a page |
| `sherpage_delete` | Permanently delete a page and its files |

Every tool accepts an optional `project` (a slug), defaulting to the
calling key's own home project — see
[projects and scoping](/concepts/projects-and-scoping).

## Arguments

`sherpage_publish`: `title`, `files` (required — see
[publishing](/sherpage/publishing) for the file shape), plus optional
`slug`, `access`, `entrypoint`, `expiresAt`, `maxViews`, `password`,
`allow` (an array of emails or `@handles`, for `access: "allow_list"`).

`sherpage_update`: `id` (required), plus optional `title`, `slug`,
`expiresAt` (or `null` to clear it), `maxViews` (or `null` to clear it).

`sherpage_list`: optional `status` (`active` or `archived`, defaulting
to `active`).

`sherpage_get`: `id` (required).

`sherpage_set_access`: `id` and `access` (required); optional
`password` — pass `null` to clear a previously-set password rather than
omitting the field.

`sherpage_archive`: `id` (required); optional `restore: true` to bring
an archived page back to active instead of archiving it.

`sherpage_delete`: `id` and `confirm` (required) — `confirm` must
exactly equal `id`, or the call fails rather than deleting anything.
This also deletes the page's short link.
